Welcome to our Hangouts Session 02!
This time we hung out with James dos Reis: a laid-back Portuguese/Cape-Verdian artist from Lisbon living by the mantra of "Let love rule". Music is his escape from chaos but he also finds comfort in Fashion, embracing life with elegance and style. He finds joy in having his people just around the corner and his journey is a mix of beats, coolness and an authentic approach to the rhythm of life.

HOC: Describe a typical day in your life:
James: I start my day with coffee and Bossa Nova while I get organized and do my chores. I like to do sports, like playing football or kickboxing, hangout with friends, family or alone. At night I love to go for a walk around my neighborhood and work on my music.
HOC: What are you currently fascinated by?
James: Morna and Fado, old movies and classical artists.
HOC: Can you share your guilty pleasure?
James: I don’t have many but probably cinema’s popcorn.
HOC: How do you describe your personal style?
James: Classic street style.
HOC: If you could raid any celebrity closet, who would it be?
James: ASAP Rocky or Marcello Mastroianni.
HOC: Name three must-have items in your wardrobe:
James: A good coat, a tank top and black trousers.
HOC: As a Musician, where do you get your inspiration from?
James: I get inspired by people.
HOC: Could you tell us a bit more about your new musical project?
James: I just launched an EP called “CAMADAS” - available on all platforms, listen here. This is a project where I’m trying to be more honest about my truth but at the same time this is like ending a chapter in my life because after this I will bring something new and unexpected.
HOC: What are your goals for this year? (professional and personally)
James: Being able to sing and feel good about myself.
HOC: As you know, at HOC we only have small and independent designers/brands. Are there any emerging designers or brands that you are keeping an eye on?
James: Definitely Hugo Costa Label, I think the brand is amazing and they have a bright future ahead.
